Saturn Opposed to Saturn

OK, so if I'm on the right track and doing what I'm supposed to do I reach a kind of "material peak", to quote Astrodienst that I can't be bothered to link to.

Well, airbnb is humming along nicely and apart from not being able to finish the play I've been working on (hah!) for eight years all is well.

Latest set of airbnb-ers leave and I go in to clean up and lo and behold! There's my material peak - a melted thing that you put over food in the microwave, a note of apology and a ten dollar bill to cover the cost of replacement, and the transit is exact to the day. I mean you just gotta love it, whatever it is.

Uranus Conjunct Venus

OK, so it's every-six-months-or-so astrology, not my fault if I've turned into the laziest person in the world.

Every now and again though the idea of posting something pops into my head and is usually gone as quickly as Oscar Wilde's thoughts about  exercise - every time I think of it I lie down until it passes haha - but today even I am compelled to note the truly astounding literalness of astrology's working.

Uranus to Venus: it happened earlier this year, will perfect in a couple of weeks and come back one last time next February, and perhaps yesterday it was intensified by the almost full moon coinciding with it, but sitting on my kitchen table right now is a big packet of Spam-flavored macadamia nuts - yes, SPAM-flavored - from a friend in Maui as a completely unexpected out-of-the-blue present.

I defy anyone to come up with a more literal representation of Uranus conjuncting natal Venus, and can't help but wonder what the next two weeks will bring.

Sun Conjunct Pluto

So off I go for my second piano lesson and there's my teacher's son crouched by the side of the Yamaha with a pump and a bucket and a hose and my teacher tells me she thoughtlessly put white rice vinegar into the piano instead of water and how would tomorrow be, and I say fine and go back home and there's Pluto with his work done for me for the day by 11:30 am.

Venus Conjunct Jupiter

So glossing over the fact I haven't posted here since March, today's *events* were so right on, so textbook correct, I can't let them go unacknowledged.

Went to play tennis and my partner brought me six just picked off the tree peaches. Came home and a friend had left me a punnet of home-grown tomatoes. Message on machine from a friend I see far too infrequently. Could she come over and bring a salad she'd made too much of with basil, fresh tomatoes and fresh mozzarella? She could and did, and also gave me a clove of fresh garlic a friend had given her.

Spent the rest of the day (after watering, of course) in bed reading Jonathan Franzen's The Corrections.

Mercury Retrograde - You Have to Laugh

So here comes Spring at last and I'm waking myself up and trying to act like a playwright again, plodding on with Anonymous and Me and looking for submissions for work already finished.
Last week one of the requirements was a 300 word synopsis. This one wanted one of  "less than 200 words" and in only three hours I managed to rewrite the last one and get it sent off.  Last week wanted contact info in the script, this time blind script, contact info elsewhere, all done.

Everything has a horoscope, as we all know, so I drew one up (well, Time Passages did) for the moment of submission and all looked good. Leo rising with north node on the ascendant, Taurus on the midheaven plugging along as I do, moon in Gemini in the 11th, ever hopeful, retrograde Mercury in Aries - ooh, hold on - look again at script submitted, right, no contact info but - ooh, no character breakdown page either as that took itself out with the title page...

Contrite and groveling email sent to theater explaining mistake (omitting retrograde Mercury part) and asking if could send new PDF marked (PLAY NAME) USE THIS ONE. Now waiting, er, for a response....

Chiron Conjunct Part of Fortune...

... which just happens to be in Pisces in the Twelfth.
Man taking fireplace insert to the landfill didn't show but the man coming out to look at the trees did - and just happens to do weed-whacking which is yet another of the maintenance things I need to find someone to do.
Sometimes I think I might be coming back to life.

Mars Opposed to Uranus

No chance of life taking a new tack - did exactly the same as the day before when I stayed in bed all day reading and eating Andes mints. No mints today though because I ate them all.

Venus Sextile Venus

Stayed in bed all day reading Michael Connelly's The Brass Verdict and eating Andes mints.
